Gamebadges is running a limited online pilot where selected participants submit real Gamebadges applications using evidence from their existing work/portfolio.
This is our second round of pilot. We welcome everyone interested to apply by 9th of September.
Challenge sPRINT in a nutshell
During the two-week sprint (14–27 September), you’ll complete the full application quest: choose your badge objective, submit your proof, and see whether your evidence meets the criteria.
Meet the requirements and you’ll unlock a competence-based Open Badge. If you miss the mark, you’ll still get actionable feedback from a professional – yes, from a real human (not a bot) – so you can level up and try again.
If you’re accepted as a tester, here’s what’s in it for you:
- Choose from 140+ badges across 9 categories, then submit your evidence between 14–24 September.
- Discord support will be available at set times if you have questions about the process
- Applications will be reviewed by the end of the following week.
- You can check your competence level.
- If your evidence meets the criteria, you earn a badge.
- If your application isn’t successful, you’ll receive feedback to help you improve.

Gamebadges come in three competence levels, and during the Challenge Sprint we’re unlocking Bronze, Silver and Gold level badges. Earned badges are shareable and portable, so you can add them to your portfolio or your LinkedIn profile.
How to start your challenge
Choose your difficulty setting for Gamebadges Challenge Sprint:
Easy (Rookie): apply for 1 badge (out of 140 different)
Normal (Veteran): complete 1 track (4–5 badges in the same skillset, there are over 40 to choose from)
Hard (Legend) : go for 100%+ — complete a full skillset track and grab extra badges on top
