Our Code of Conduct guides all Gamebadges community actions, events, and discussions. It outlines our expectations for participant behaviour and the consequences of unacceptable conduct. We expect everyone, including attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, media, and partners, to help create a safe and inclusive environment.
Expected Behaviour
- Respect and Courtesy: Treat everyone with respect and courtesy.
- Kindness and Collaboration: Be kind, considerate, respectful, and collaborative.
- Inclusive Conduct: Avoid demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour or speech.
- Awareness: Be mindful of the well-being of fellow participants.
- Report Issues: Inform a project representative immediately if you observe a risky situation or someone in distress.
Unacceptable Behaviour
- Harassment: Any form of intimidation, harassment, abuse, discrimination, derogatory behaviour, or demeaning conduct are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, offensive verbal comments, stalking, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
- Violence and Weapons: Physical abuse, possession of weapons, and offensive language or behaviour are prohibited.
- Offensive Behaviour: Boisterous, lewd, or offensive behaviour/language, including profanity or slurs, is unacceptable.
- Rule Violations: Disturbing the peace, engaging in unlawful acts, or violating event rules is not allowed.
Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour
- Zero Tolerance: Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated at events or within the community.
- Accountability: All participants are subject to consequences for unacceptable behaviour.
- Immediate Compliance: Participants must promptly adhere to requests to cease unacceptable behaviour.
- Enforcement: Consequences may include expulsion from events or activities without warning or refund, at the discretion of the event organizers.
