Gamebadges is for everyone in or heading towards the games industry. Applicants can discover key skills and prove them to employers, while professionals can showcase their expertise across the industry.
In both cases, Gamebadges supports you in shaping your learning path, finding and organizing internships, helping you along your career path, your career, and succeeding in your job search.

Let’s get started!
- Go to https://openbadgepassport.com/app/user/register/en
- Accept the terms and conditions.
- Fill in your account information, using your personal email to ensure you don’t lose access to your earned badges.
- Go to the email account that you used to register and activate your account through the link that you received from Open Badge Passport.
- Use the following link to join the Gamebadges Space: https://openbadgepassport.com/app/space/member_invite/gamebadges/d137cad1-a4ba-4c33-833f-a526f1925bb2
- Navigate to the Space using the HOME button on the top navigation panel.
- You might need to make sure that you have the Gamebadges Space selected. You can access the selection by clicking your profile picture in the top right corner.

- To access the list of badges, select EARN BADGES from the left-side menu.

- By selecting any of the badges, you can view their requirements.
- If you want to apply for a badge, fill in the form under the requirements and submit the application by uploading the evidence that demonstrates they have met the badge criteria.
- Each badge requires a Declaration of Authorship to be provided, which can be found here: https://gamebadges.eu/additional-application-instructions/
A certified evaluator reviews the submission using a standardised checklist based on the badge’s competence goals listed on OBP.
If the evidence meets the requirements, the badge is awarded. If not, you receive feedback on what to improve.
You can revise your application and resubmit once you have addressed the evaluator’s feedback.
Gamebadges is about making sure your achievements are visible, trusted, and understood by employers from the very first glance. After earning your badges, you can easily publish them from Open Badge Passport to your LinkedIn profile, personal blog or digital portfolio, CV and cover letter, or social media platforms such as X, and more. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to proceed in OBP:
- Go top panel – BADGES, select an owned badge
- Go top panel – Share, set to PUBLIC (necessary!)
- Use SoMe or link options below

In an era of scrolling, swiping, and social searching, you have only seconds to make an impression. Employers often scan dozens of profiles and do not always have time to read CVs in detail, so they look for clear signals. Gamebadges provides exactly that. In just one glance, a potential employer can:
- See what you have mastered.
- Understand what you can do.
- Match your recognised competences to actual roles in the games industry.
Gamebadges is not tied to a single school, company, city, or country. It speaks a common language across European borders. Whether you are applying in Brussels, Helsinki, or Prague, your badge carries the same message: “This candidate has unlocked real competences that match what studios expect.” Because Gamebadges is valid across Europe, it doesn’t just prepare you for local careers, it opens doors across the continent.
