Gamebadges is collecting together a list of the game companies, who support the cause – building and up-keeping the competence map and finding ways to validate game industry related skills.
Badge applicants and industry partners often have one question on their mind, when they are exposed to Gamebadges: Which companies will recognize it?
This is why we are creating the official Industry Endorsement List! Gamebadges will use the endorsement list in its communications and in future ecosystem development.
Join the Gamebadges Industry Endorsement List here.
By joining, you agree on behalf of your organization to be listed as an official Gamebadges endorser. This means that:
- Key staff members at your company are familiar with the Gamebadges ecosystem.
- You support the goals that Gamebadges are trying to achieve.
- You recognize the value of badges as a meaningful way of certifying game industry competences.
The adoption of Gamebadges differs at each company – some will only recognize the badges as valuable, others will adopt internal hiring processes to incorporate them, and others will use it to identify hiring needs, support team building, decision makers, and establish internal training plans, and upskilling initiatives. Some partners also get involved in defining the next iteration of badges themselves. The scope of Gamebadges varies greatly, and being an endorser does not mean you are committing to any specific level of adoption. This is an entirely separate decision, that is up to your discretion and preferred timing.
The goal of the endorsement list is to build up a publicly shared sentiment that the industry is behind the Gamebadges initiatives, what it represents, and where it is heading.
If you would like to get involved with Gamebadges in a more direct way, please register your company through our Industry Adoption survey, and we will share with you the relevant resources to get started!
